Nevados addressed the shrinking availability of flat land for large-scale solar projects. Single Axis Trackers (SAT) are the preferred method for installing solar power plants in the USA, but conventional SATs require flat land to be installed cost-effectively. Nevados overcomes this issue with a flexible design we call an All Terrain Tracker (ATT). The ATT can fit to sloped and rolling terrain as easily as flat terrain. On non-flat terrain, Nevados competes directly with conventional trackers on price, and further reduces construction costs by 2-10% of project budget and reduces construction labor by 0-3% of project budget.

The Nevados ATT is a solar tracker that looks similar to many Single Axis Trackers on the market. However, it has the ability to articulate along its length to follow natural terrain. This eliminates the need for grading, or for various height support posts necessary to lift the structure over dips in the terrain. In addition to the structure, several software solutions have been developed that allow the Nevados ATT to operate on non-flat terrain without casting shadows between rows. Even a small shadow can reduce power generation from a group of modules by 10% or more. No software exists on the open market that can do this.
