We are fortunate to have developed a product that is easily explainable and marketable. We have, with almost no ad spend, sold 355 units and are accumulating interest from bloggers, influencers, national magazines, HOA's, and large developments across the US, all with just having a website operational.
Our go-to-market will rely on products being shipped and installed, then the organic orders that come from our highly-visible product on peoples' homes throughout America. Displays in new subdivision design centers are already underway, and both This Old House magazine and American Farmhouse Style magazine have write-ups scheduled (all at no cost to us.)
Marketing will be a small part of our budget, allowing us to dedicate all sales revenue back to increasing manufacturing, growing our enterprise quickly to become an attractive acquisition target to either an aggregator in the space or a P/E looking for a strong cash-flow investment.
Our primary competitor are the 29,000 garage door dealers throughout the US. Their primary offering is replacement and new garage doors. They do not have a solution for enhancing an existing garage door other than complete replacement, which is very expensive and requires the services of a contractor. In fact real wood doors are upwards of $15,000 for a 2-car garage door and can take 5-6 months to install.
The largest franchisor of garage door services in the US is Overhead Door Corporation, with 450 locations.
