They are also being required to open network access to more and more devices ? desktops, laptops, mobile phones, PDAs, and telephones. Traditional passwords can no longer be trusted for secure access to computer network applications because they are easy to crack or steal and are frequently shared with others. TRI-D Systems creates barriers to entry with its intellectual property and will be First-to-Market with a self-powered, fully integrated 3-Factor Authentication token with the form and functionality of a smart card, but can be used without readers for ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANY DEVICE biometrically authenticated network access. TRI-D will also have a strong market advantage by offering a token specifically on an ISO 7816 compliant card. This is the only form factor that can work with existing hardware to support ATM, smart card, and credit card transactions. Therefore, TRI-D will be the only readerless authentication token that can be used for biometric authentication to a computer network and, at the same time, offer all the multi-function benefits of a smart card when used with a reader. Further, we will have significant market advantages because our Biometric solution does not require the enterprise to build and maintain a database of biometrics, nor does it require the installation and maintenance of special biometric or smart card readers. Our fully-integrated solution without readers significantly reduces the cost and complexity of installing currently available strong authentication solutions.
