About Us
Let me tell you a story; about 18 years ago, I woke up with this idea. I was a new dad and concerned about my son. I thought what if something happens to me and I never get a chance to have an interaction or share some advice, or a sentiment with my son. That got me thinking about HaL, and how I could programmatically synthesize my thoughts, emotions, mannerisms, voice, and my own hologram, to engage future descendants… Then, one day, while visiting a friend, he had a son with autism who kept asking the same question, and my friend would patiently reply back repeatedly with loving attention, until he got frustrated and walked away. I realized that HaL could have solved this problem too, by consistently providing the same parent-emulated-voice, empathy, reassurance, and love, repeatedly. Then, recently, my dad went through Alzheimer’s, and again, it hit me that HaL could help families that struggle with this as well, by continuously engaging our elderly and prodding them for replies, jogging their memories, and keeping them connected to their loved ones and the present. In the process of building something unique, we built a granular emotional intelligence sentiment analysis software that translates any text into feelings and emotions. This can serve the business world providing intelligence about the products, services, trends, sentiment on the street, and real time sales revenues. Finally, we also thought about recurring revenue stream through subscription by offering fans of celebrities a chance to chat with their favorite artist, athlete, writers, and world leaders.
