Today, 22 million American Smart Homes generally consist of a clutter of unconnected devices, offering no cohesiveness and limited benefits. Homes are plagued with single-function devices, almost all of which use different apps, batteries, and cords.
The average American home has over 20 smart devices, and over 1 in 3 US adults struggle with setting up or operating smart devices. Current homes rely on too many devices that are too hard to use.

Intecular innovates smart home technologies by significantly modernizing home necessities, starting with the smart outlet. Our first product, InvisOutlet, offers a new level of intelligence and substantially expands smart home potential. Intecular's InvisOutlet has been backed and brought to life by a community of almost 1000 backers, who committed $160k+ during our Kickstarter campaign. In the next few months, the product will launch.
InvisOutlet is a modular smart outlet that combines fundamental smart home features including air quality monitoring, occupancy detection, temperature/humidity, and an adaptive nightlight. These features are enabled by embedded sensors in the product’s patented detachable cover plate. This functionality is integrated with our proprietary phone app as well as existing smart home platforms such as Apple Homekit, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa.

Last summer, we raised $161,204 from 839 backers via Kickstarter, gaining incredible market validation and a loyal community of early adopters. During this time, we also collected an email subscriber list of 15,000 interested followers.
Later in 2023, we established our manufacturing partner in Asia, an Apple-Certified manufacturer who previously produced Apple’s Mag-Safe technologies.
Early this year, we exhibited at CES in Las Vegas, the largest consumer electronics trade show in the world, during which we received fantastic feedback from industry experts.
Intecular is working with a Home Depot retail solutions partner led by 2 former senior merchants and a Vice President at Home Depot. They’re bringing our brand personally to Home Depot HQ.
Over the next month or 2, we will carry out our first mass production run and get these in the hands of backers and buyers.

Intecular’s revenue model is initially driven by product sales. Our goal is to sell 5 InvisOutlets per home, which will grow as incoming models hit the market. Future recurring revenue streams include detachable cover-plate sales and monthly subscription fees for upgraded application features. In the short term, we've discovered recurring revenue by partnering with HVAC companies seeking to purchase Temperature and Air Quality data.

Business Strategy
We have two target markets: Homeowners and Commercial Property Owners.
For homeowners and tenants, InvisOutlets will be sold via our website as well as The Home Depot and Best Buy’s physical and online stores in 2025. We’ve also partnered with 2 home installation companies as an alternative to DIY.
For commercial property owners, we are growing relationships with HD Supply’s product and account managers who are heavily connected with office and hotel chains. Intecular plans to market directly to new-build commercial and residential contractors in 2025 and 2026.
As for marketing, Intecular has found success with Facebook Ads, achieving a 4x Return on Ad Spend, resulting in a $48 CAC and an average order value of $192. Additionally, Intecular has 15,000 interested email subscribers to whom we will continue to send frequent promotional newsletters.
InvisOutlet differs from competitors such as Leviton and Kasa Smart with 2 key innovations. 1. InvisOutlet has sensors embedded in the cover-plate, which allows it to facilitate its own smart home functionality. Unlike current smart outlets that are limited to turning appliances on/off, Intecular creates home automation and gathers data. 1. InvisOutlet uses a modular design to future-proof the technology. Because the cover-plate, which has the embedded sensors, is detachable, homeowners don't have to replace the entire outlet receptacle. Replacing the outlet receptacle is something that many homeowners dread doing, and many times requires an electrician. With InvisOutlet, homeowners can buy upgraded or new variations of the cover-plate and swap them by snapping on/off.
