The event will kick off with a keynote address by Bob Wallach, Alliance of Angels board member and head of the CPG selection committee.

Greta Remington, a veteran of the consumer industry with over 30 years of innovation experience, is the conference chair and moderator of the panel on Strategies for Investing in Innovative Consumer Sector Startups. Panelists include industry veteran and investor Gary Laney, among others TBA.

After the panel, five top-ranking applicants will have the opportunity to present on-stage for 28 minutes. Their 12 minute pitches will be followed by 8 minutes of Q&A with the industry expert panel, and 8 minutes of Q&A with the LPs in the audience. 

The next five semi-finalists will have the opportunity to do a 3-minute pitch on stage, with 3 minutes of Q&A time. Like the first round presenters, the goal for these entrepreneurs is to entice  investors to meet with them at their demo tables during the afterparty. 

The event will be followed up with a networking mixer at which dinner and beverages will be served, and investors can mingle with each other and visit with the ten startups at their demo tables. Note that the afterparty often lasts several hours.

Note that only 10 companies can be selected to present on Feb 25th, 2025. However, other runner-ups are free to attend the conference as regular guests. And note that this event is repeated twice a year; the next Launchpad Expo for Consumer/CPG will be scheduled for September.

The applicant must be in the broad category of "Consumer" for this particular Expo event. 

Your company must be in active fund-raising mode, or expect to be by the Expo date (Feb 25, 2025) as the audience is primarily accredited investors seeking investment opportunities. 

Your company should at least be at the early revenue stage. We may make exceptions if you have a working MVP with identified near-term revenue prospects.

Note that once your deal room is live on our Sparkxyz platform you will be able to pushbutton-share with hundreds of other participating angel networks, accelerators, incubators and venture catalysts that use the same software.

There is no fee to apply to a Launchpad Expo conference. As part of the due diligence process, our mentors will work with the five first-round finalists to perfect their pitches, and each will be offered the opportunity to practice their final pitches, either in person at the venue or virtually with the coaches. The five finalists will be charged a $500 commitment fee. This secures their position to present, provides for a demo table at the Expo, and includes two event tickets for representatives of the company. All food & beverage and parking are also included. 

The five second-round finalists will have the opportunity to do a 3-minute pitch with a 3-minute Q&A to entice investors to come visit with them at their demo table during the afterparty. The afterparty at these Launchpad Expo events typically goes on for several hours, during which time the investor audience mingles with the combined ten companies at their demo tables. There is a $250 commitment fee for the second-round pitch and demo table. This includes two event tickets for representatives of the company. All food & beverage and parking are also included. 

The Launchpad Expo staff will pre-screen all applications and forward ones which meet the eligibility criteria to the screening committee. Deadline for applications is January 24th, 2025.

The objective in participating in this expo is to gain exposure to potential investors with a specific interest in this sector. Prizes will be awarded to the company with the Best Investment Opportunity (a digital crowdvote will be taken at the end of the presentations), provided by our sponsors.
