Description
The Citrus Seeds is a group of Angel investors looking to see deal flow from startups based in Riverside, The Inland Empire region, and beyond (see eligibility below).
Eligibility
We prefer deals with some connection to Riverside, CA, the larger Inland Empire region, and/or deal flow from Founders who are alums from area universities such as: University of California, Riverside; Cal State University, San Bernardino; Cal Baptist University, etc.
Process
We Pre-screen each application. Once approved by the Pre-screening Committee, the application goes to the full group if Citrus Seeds investors for investment consideration.
We typically invest in Deep Tech verticals such as: Climate tech, Agtech, Life Sciences, AI, B2B SaaS, and B2B HaaS. We rarely invest in B2C deals or idea stage startups.
Some traction is required. This could be a patent, a built MVP, compelling data from the lab, and/or early customers and revenue.
What an Applicant can Obtain
The members of Citrus Seeds typically write checks from $10,000 to $50,000. We proactively help the startups that we fund close syndicated Angel and Pre-Seed rounds from $250,000 to $1,5000,000.
