ic@3401 (Innovation Center @3401) is a Philadelphia-based startup incubator and collaborative innovation hub originally founded in 2014 as a partnership between Drexel University and the University City Science Center that helps early tech companies grow by offering flexible workspace, a curated community of entrepreneurs and mentors, ecosystem events, and access to investor networks. It is known as Philadelphia’s largest community of funded early-stage tech startups.
Eligibility
Early-stage technology startups seeking space, community, and connections in Philadelphia’s innovation ecosystem.
• Founders and teams who benefit from collaborative environment and ecosystem support.
• Members of local entrepreneur support networks and partners including Drexel University and Science Center programs.
Process
Apply for Membership: Startups express interest or apply for residency or membership in the space.
Selection & Onboarding: Selected companies join the collaborative workspace among other early-stage tech ventures.
Workspace & Community: Founders work from shared or dedicated space with access to amenities, peer support, and curated events.
Mentorship & Networking: Members gain introductions to mentors, advisors, university research connections, and ecosystem partners (including programs from the Science Center).
Investor Connections & Growth: Resident startups benefit from informal pitch events, investor networking, and introductions — though funding is raised externally.
