Description
Emerging Technology Centers (ETC) is a nonprofit incubator and startup support organization based in Baltimore, Maryland originally founded in 1999. ETC provides incubation space, structured programming (incubators and accelerators), mentoring, coworking community, and access to networks, funding connectors, and talent to help early-stage technology and biotech companies grow and succeed. Its mission is to foster innovation, empower underrepresented founders, and position Baltimore as a vibrant startup ecosystem.

Process
Application & Intake: Founders connect with ETC to explore membership, programming (e.g., incubator or accelerator), and eligibility.
Program Placement: Depending on business readiness, startups are placed in appropriate ETC initiatives — from bootcamp-style pre-acceleration to longer incubator/accelerator cohorts.
Mentoring & Curriculum: Participants engage with business mentoring, workshops, peer learning, and ecosystem resources throughout the program.
Ecosystem Network: ETC connects companies to capital resources, partner networks, talent pipelines, and community events.
Demo & Funding Exposure: Founders have opportunities to interface with investors, industry partners, and external funding support via network introductions and pitch events.
