The DEC Network (formerly Dallas Entrepreneur Center) is a nonprofit entrepreneurial ecosystem organization based in Dallas, Texas, dedicated to fueling innovation and fostering economic growth by supporting founders from idea through growth. Through innovation hubs, educational programming, mentorship, networking, and collaborative community events, The DEC Network equips entrepreneurs — particularly under-served and diverse founders — with tools and connections needed to start, build, and scale their ventures.
Eligibility
• Entrepreneurs & early-stage founders across sectors looking for education, networking, mentoring, and business growth support.
• Founders at idea through early traction stages who want to improve investor readiness and connect with mentors and ecosystem partners.
• Programs are open to diverse founders and often emphasize inclusivity (BIPOC and women founders).
Process
Engagement & Membership: Founders connect with The DEC Network through innovation hubs, events, workshops, and community programs.
Program Participation: Participants engage in educational sessions, mentorship, pitch practice, and networking events tailored to business growth & readiness.
Pitch & Collaboration Events: Collaborative accelerator/competition programs (with partners like Capital One) include structured cohort workshops leading to pitch days or demo events where founders can present to investors and mentors.
Ongoing Support: After initial engagements, entrepreneurs continue building networks, attending free events, and accessing mentors and ecosystem partners.
