Boston, MA, USA

Description

MassChallenge is a global, zero-equity accelerator that supports early-stage startups with mentorship, business resources, and community engagement across multiple global locations. Participating ventures gain access to tailored programming, corporate connections, investor visibility, and opportunities to compete for cash prizes and pilot engagements — all while retaining full ownership of their companies.

Eligibility

Startups of any industry or geography, depending on specific regional program requirements.
• Must be early-stage with a scalable business model, though no strict revenue or traction requirement is publicly published.
• Must not be non-profit focused or fully acquired subsidiaries (common accelerator rule).

Process

Application: Startups apply online to the appropriate MassChallenge program (e.g., U.S., UK, Switzerland, Mexico cohorts).

Selection: A selection committee reviews applications and invites a subset of startups to join the accelerator.

Program Participation: Accepted startups enter a cohort-based program with mentorship, workshops, corporate engagement, and ecosystem events.

Demo / Pitch & Prizes: Startups often present to judges and investors for cash prizes and awards, tailored to each program’s focus areas.
