Greentown Labs is the largest climate tech startup incubator in North America, providing workspace, prototyping facilities, technical equipment, mentorship, corporate partnerships, and access to a deep network of investors and industry experts. Based in Boston and Houston, it helps early- to mid-stage climate and hard-tech ventures accelerate their solutions to market through community support, tailored programming, and ecosystem engagement.

Eligibility

• Climate and hard-tech startups working on energy, decarbonization, circularity, agriculture/food systems, water, materials, or other climate-relevant domains.
• Founders and teams that demonstrate technical merit, potential impact, and commitment.
• Companies seeking workspace, prototyping labs, corporate access, and investor networks in climate tech.

Process

  1. Application for Membership: Founders apply to join Greentown’s community, indicating team, tech, and workspace needs.

  2. Review & Onboarding: Greentown reviews fit based on climate impact, technical needs, and founder readiness.

  3. Workspace & Resource Access: Accepted startups gain access to co-working/maker space, labs, curated programs, and community events.

  4. Network & Ecosystem Engagement: Companies engage with mentors, partner sponsors, corporate innovators, and investors through workshops, demo days, and challenge events.
