Description

L’Oréal Tech Incubator & Open Innovation Programs (including Beauty Tech Atelier and the Sustainable Innovation Accelerator / L’AcceleratOR) are global corporate accelerator frameworks that identify, partner with, and scale innovative startup and SME solutions in beauty technology, sustainability, and digital experiences. These programs provide strategic mentoring, access to L’Oréal’s brands, R&D expertise, pilot opportunities, and industry networks — enabling startups to develop commercial partnerships and pilots with one of the largest global beauty companies. 

Eligibility

Beauty Tech Atelier:
• Early-stage digital, AI/AR/VR, e-commerce tech, IoT, diagnostics, and digital beauty service companies. 
• Experience with Proof of Concept (PoC), pilot, or collaboration with corporate partners typically advantageous. 
• Startups ready to scale globally and work with beauty brand integration. 

Sustainable Innovation Accelerator (L’AcceleratOR):
• Deployment-ready innovative solutions addressing sustainability challenges such as low carbon, circularity, alternative materials, water resilience, and nature-based innovations.
• Targeted Technology Readiness Level 7+ (TRL) but applications from TRL 5–6 considered with strong potential. 

Process

Beauty Tech Atelier:

  1. Apply/Submit Startup Profile via L’Oréal’s open innovation portal or partner platforms. 

  2. Selection of Cohort (typically up to ~10 startups each semester). 

  3. 6-Month Acceleration with tailored mentoring, business/scaling support, and ecosystem access. 

  4. Corporate Engagement + Pilot/Partnership Opportunities with L’Oréal brands. 

Sustainable Innovation Accelerator (L’AcceleratOR):

  1. Application via CISL/L’Oréal portal. 

  2. Cohort Selection for 6–12 month cohort programming. 

  3. Group & 1:1 Mentoring, Workshops, Pilot Planning. 

  4. Execution of Pilot Projects (6–9 months) with potential scaling and collaboration.
