Description

Luminate Accelerator is a global deep-technology and science-fueled venture accelerator that enables early-stage startups building technologies in optics, photonics, robotics, advanced manufacturing, sensing, quantum, and other capital-intensive science domains. Accepted companies receive $150,000 USD in combined grant and investment support, structured curriculum, dedicated mentorship, strategic industry connections, and access to an international ecosystem of partners to accelerate commercialization and growth.

Eligibility

Publicly available eligibility guidelines include:
 • Early-stage science and technology ventures with demonstrated technical capability or early validation in fields like photonics, robotics, advanced manufacturing, sensors, optics, and adjacent areas.
Prototype stage or beyond (devices and systems with real technology to scale).

There are no explicit revenue or corporate structure requirements published; emphasis is on the technology readiness level and potential to commercialize capital-intensive innovations.

Process

Application Submission: Founders apply online through the Luminate Accelerator portal.

Review & Selection: Applications are reviewed by Luminate’s selection committee. Shortlisted teams may be interviewed.

Cohort Acceptance: Selected startups enter the accelerator with standard investment support and programming.

12-Week Accelerator: Startups proceed through deep mentorship, tailored curriculum, and partner engagements culminating in market and investor exposure.

What an Applicant can Obtain

$150,000 USD in funding support (combining a $50K non-dilutive grant with up to $100K optional convertible investment).
