Description

Leap Venture Studio & Academy supports innovation in the pet care industry through two tracks:

  • Leap Venture Studio: a flagship 12-week hybrid accelerator for seed-stage pet care startups, including a $200K USD venture capital investment, tailored mentorship, milestone support, and a culminating Demo Day for investors and industry leaders. 

  • Leap Venture Academy: pre-accelerator, community-building programs including a one-week fellowship and pitch competitions, designed to help earlier-stage founders prepare for growth and fundraising through non-equity support. 

Eligibility

For Leap Venture Studio (Accelerator / investment seat), Leap states they focus on:

  • Seed-stage pet care startups

  • With some traction and in-market learnings 

For Leap Venture Academy, it’s for:

  • Earlier-stage pet care startups and innovators

  • Offered through non-equity programs (fellowship + pitch competitions)

Process

Leap’s official selection flow:

  1. Applications reviewed by the Leap team

  2. Top candidates invited to pitch to the selection committee

  3. Final diligence & review

  4. Offers extended 

What an Applicant can Obtain

If selected for Leap Venture Studio
  • $200,000 USD investment 

  • Expert feedback on key roadblocks + milestone execution support 

  • Network access to pet care leaders + founder community 

  • Demo Day exposure to investors/industry/media 

  • Equity taken varies (not fixed publicly) 

If participating in Leap Venture Academy
  • Pre-accelerator programming and community

  • Fellowship + pitch competitions

  • Positioned as non-equity support
