BRIIA® - The Intelligent Accelerator®

Our Accelerator Programs have helped hundreds of founders navigate the journey from idea to scalability (all the way to Series A!).

San Ramon, CA, USA

Description

BRIIA® - The Intelligent Accelerator® (short for Bishop Ranch Intelligence Innovation Accelerator) is a Silicon Valley–based technology accelerator focused on helping early-stage startups, especially those working with data, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine-learning technologies, move from idea through MVP to scalable business and fundraising readiness. The accelerator is headquartered in San Ramon, California, serving founders globally.

Specific Program Stage
Idea / Pre-Seed / Early Startup (Flexible Model)

  • BRIIA’s Foundation Program supports startups from the earliest stages (Idea / Initial Product Release / MVP) — helping founders build fundamentals, refine product strategy, and achieve early traction.

  • Advanced Programs are tailored for companies that have achieved MVP or early customer engagement and are ready to focus on customer acquisition, category design, and fundraising

Investment / Funding Model
Capital / Equity Terms

  • Foundation Program: BRIIA’s core early program is equity-neutral at entry — the accelerator does not take equity up front and there’s no formal application to begin; founders begin by completing a diagnostic “BRIIA GPS” to map where they are in their journey.

  • Advanced Programs: Once a startup reaches certain milestones (e.g., MVP / traction), BRIIA may offer advanced, cohort-based accelerator tracks. In these Advanced Programs, the accelerator can request founders reserve equity shares at the same terms as the startup’s first significant capital raise, i.e., the same rights and price that the startup negotiates with external investors.

  • Any formal equity stake is deferred until a later round rather than taken up front like many traditional accelerators.

Fees & Costs

  • Courses and mentorship time in the Foundation track are optional and can require nominal payments (e.g., $39-$59 per course for active participants), and mentors may charge modest fees for their time (often capped around ~$2/minute).

Equity Structure
  • No upfront equity: Founders retain ownership while progressing through the Foundation Program.

  • Reserved equity for advanced tracks: When a startup enters an Advanced Program, BRIIA can request a right to receive shares on the same terms as future investors, which is effectively similar to a pro-rata or matching arrangement once a priced round is underway.

  • The style is oriented toward alignment at fundraising milestones rather than traditional accelerators’ upfront SAFEs or fixed percentage equity.

Application / Submission Method
Flexible Start (“No Application” Model)

  • Unlike many cohort accelerators with formal application windows, BRIIA’s Foundation Program is open and on-demand: founders begin by completing the BRIIA GPS assessment online, and then receive a customized development plan.

  • Advanced Programs (e.g., AI-focused tracks) may have cohort cycles and more formalized intake aligned with specific focus areas (e.g., Healthcare AI).

Stage
