Oregon Sports Angels (OSA) is a member-based, nonprofit angel investment network headquartered in Portland, Oregon focused on early-stage sports, fitness, and sports tech startups — particularly products, services, experiences, and technologies that serve athletes, teams, fans, and the broader active lifestyle market. It brings together sports and fitness industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and experienced investors to provide capital, mentorship, and strategic support to emerging companies in this niche sector. 

Pre-Seed / Seed: Core focus on early-stage and seed financings for sports product, experience, and technology companies.
Series A: While OSA itself typically concentrates on initial rounds, members may participate in follow-on syndications as companies grow.
Investment Range: Typically invests via member contributions aggregated into angel checks; total deal participation varies by company, stage, and investor interest.

Process

Initial Intake & Screening: Startups submit pitch materials for initial evaluation by OSA members or a screening committee focused on fit with the sports/fitness thesis.
Member Presentation: Shortlisted companies present to the membership for investment consideration and feedback.
Due Diligence: Interested members conduct market, product, and team diligence before committing capital.
Deal Structuring & Close: Investments are negotiated deal-by-deal with terms agreed upon by participating investors.
