Westchester Angel Network

Member-run angel group investing in early-stage companies in the NYC / Westchester region and beyond.

White Plains, NY, USA

Description

Westchester Angels is a member-led angel investment network based in Westchester County and the wider Tri-State region (including NYC and surrounding areas) that connects accredited investors with early-stage startups seeking equity capital and mentorship. The group was established in 2015 by strategic investors and business leaders to fuel promising local companies and build a stronger regional innovation ecosystem.

Pre-Seed / Seed: Primary focus on early-stage and seed-stage startups with scalable business models; invests in companies that may have prototypes or early traction and are positioned for growth.

Typical Investment Range: As an angel group, individual member commitments vary, and total round sizes often aggregate to meaningful seed capital through syndication and member participation; specific check sizes are negotiated deal-by-deal.
Sector Focus: Broad industry orientation (software, business services, consumer products, IT services, cleantech, healthcare, industrial tech, etc.), with no strict single vertical except an exclusion of biotech (as noted publicly).
Geography: Prioritizes startups in Westchester County, New York City, Rockland County (NY), and Fairfield County (CT) (approximately within a ~120-mile radius), reflecting its regional investment and mentoring mission.

Founders typically engage by submitting pitch materials through Westchester Angels’ channels or being introduced via members and ecosystem partners; the group also holds investor meetings that are open to pitching founders
