North Texas Angel Network (NTAN) is a non-profit, member-led angel investment organization based in Dallas, Texas that connects early-stage companies with accredited angel investors who provide both capital and strategic support to help ventures scale. Over its history since 2008, NTAN members have collectively invested $10M+ into startups spanning technology, healthcare, software, and other innovative sectors.

Series A: Indirect involvement through co-investors and follow-on support; the primary activity emphasizes initial rounds.

Process

Initial Submission: Entrepreneurs submit pitch decks and company information via Dealum for initial screening.
Screening Committee Review: A volunteer screening group evaluates submissions for market fit, traction, and strategic potential.
Member Pitch: Shortlisted companies present to the full NTAN membership at an investor event for evaluation.
Due Diligence: Interested members lead deeper diligence on product, team, and financials.
Deal Structuring & Close: Investments are structured deal-by-deal via co-investor syndicates, SAFEs, or equity instruments based on member consensus.
