Description

New World Angels (NWA) is a Florida-based, member-led angel investment group composed of accredited investors, seasoned operators, and business leaders who provide equity capital, mentorship, and strategic guidance to early-stage entrepreneurial companies, especially those rooted in Florida’s innovation ecosystem. It has been active since 2003 and has invested $30M+ into early-stage ventures across diverse sectors.
Pre-Seed / Seed: Focus on funding early-stage companies with proof of concept and clear growth potential.
Series A: Participates in seed and early institutional rounds, typically co-investing with syndicates or other angel groups; initial investments often sit in the $250K–$2M range.
Lead or Co-Investor: Often leads rounds around $0.5M–$2.5M, syndicating with other investors to amplify impact.
Invests across a broad set of industries including healthcare, IT, AI, advanced manufacturing, and space/aerospace tech, reflecting its industry-agnostic thesis and diversified member expertise.
Founders typically apply for funding via NWA’s Dealum application platform or via introductions from members and ecosystem partners.
The group also actively supports ecosystem growth through initiatives such as the Innovation Fund (designed to provide pre-seed backing to accelerator/alumni companies) and the Space Coast chapter for aerospace and space tech startups.
