Green Bay, WI, USA

Description

Tundra Angels is an angel investment network based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It was founded in 2020 as an initiative of the Greater Green Bay Chamber to connect high-growth startups with local accredited investors, primarily in the Upper Midwest.
  • Seed & Series A: Tundra Angels targets companies that have moved past the ideation phase and have a functional Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
  • Traction Preference: They prioritize "market-ready" companies with early revenue or strong pilot validation.
  • Method: Founders apply through the Tundra Angels Dealum portal or via the Greater Green Bay Chamber website.
  • Materials: A pitch deck, executive summary, and 3-year financial projections are required.
  • Vetting Focus: They look for scalable technology or tech-enabled business models with a clear path to a 10x return.

Eligibility

  • Geography: Strong preference for companies based in Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest, though they will consider high-quality deals from across the U.S. if there is a strong regional connection.
  • Sectors: Industry-agnostic, with significant interest in SaaS, Advanced Manufacturing, Supply Chain/Logistics, and HealthTech.
  • Funding Goal: Typically targets companies raising between $250,000 and $2,000,000

Process

  1. Screening: The Managing Director and a screening committee review applications for fit and investment readiness.
  2. Selection: Approximately 3–4 companies per cycle are selected to pitch.
  3. The Pitch: Founders present to the network members (typically via a hybrid of in-person in Green Bay and virtual attendance).
  4. Due Diligence: Interested members form a deal team to conduct a 4–8 week deep dive into the company's financials, IP, and market viability.
  5. Closing: Members make individual investment decisions, which are often aggregated into a single entity for the cap table.
