Seattle, WA, USA

Description

The Keiretsu Forum Northwest & Rockies region is a highly active angel investor network spanning eight chapters across the Pacific Northwest (Vancouver BC, Seattle, Bellevue, Portland) and the Rockies (Calgary, Salt Lake City, Boulder, Denver). It consistently ranks among the top angel groups in North America by PitchBook.

  • Method: Entrepreneurs apply online via the Keiretsu Forum website application portal.
  • Materials: A comprehensive business plan and pitch deck are required. No NDA is signed for initial proposals.
  • Fees: There is no fee for the initial pre-screening or deal screening. However, a fee is required if selected to present at the main Forum meetings to cover administrative costs and professional coaching services.

2026 Key Events:
  • Deal Screening meetings are held online on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.

Process

The process emphasizes rigorous pre-screening and collaborative due diligence:

  1. Online Application & Pre-Screening: Applications are reviewed by committees for initial fit.
  2. Deal Screening: Selected companies present for 12 minutes (plus 8 mins Q&A) to a screening committee which votes on who proceeds to the main Forum Meeting.
  3. Forum Meetings (Roadshows): Finalists present to the full network of investors across all regional chapters during monthly meetings.
  4. Due Diligence (DD): Interested members form a DD team for a rigorous 3–5 week review of the business, technology, financials, and legal standing.
  5. Investment: Members make individual investment decisions, often syndicating through a single investment vehicle to simplify the cap table.
