Description

Ignate Northwest is a non-profit technology business accelerator and regional innovation hub based in Spokane, Washington. It is dedicated to fueling the growth of the inland Pacific Northwest economy by providing coaching, resources, and access to capital for high-growth technology companies. 
  • Early Stage & Seed: Ignite focuses on startups at the "Scaling" phase—those that have a product and are seeking their first major round of institutional or angel capital.
  • Investor Readiness: Their primary goal is to prepare companies for a Seed or Series A raise. 
  • Method: Founders apply through the Ignite Northwest application portal.
  • Program Tracks:
    • The Accelerator: A 12-week intensive for companies ready to scale.
    • The Studio: For earlier-stage companies refining their business model.
  • Materials: A pitch deck, current revenue/traction metrics, and a clear "scaling plan" are required for the accelerator application. 

Eligibility

  • Geography: Primarily focused on the Inland Northwest (Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, and Western Montana).
  • Sectors: High-growth technology including SaaS, Life Sciences, Advanced Manufacturing, and Energy Tech.
  • Traction: Preference is given to companies with a functional product and early revenue. 

Process

  1. Vetting: Applications are reviewed by a board of experienced entrepreneurs and investors.
  2. 12-Week Intensive: Selected companies participate in a structured curriculum covering sales, marketing, operations, and finance.
  3. Executive Coaching: Founders are paired with "Executives-in-Residence" (EiRs) for 1:1 mentorship.
  4. Investor Introduction: The program culminates in a Demo Day or a direct introduction to the Ignite Northwest Angel Network.

  1. Mentorship: Direct access to a network of seasoned CEOs and industry specialists.
  2. Angel Network Access: A direct pipeline to the Ignite Northwest Angel Network, a group of local accredited investors.
  3. Strategic Credits: Access to specialized software and infrastructure perks (e.g., AWS, HubSpot).
  4. Operational Support: Guidance on board development, cap table management, and executive hiring.
