Golden Seeds is one of the largest and most active angel investment networks in the United States, focused exclusively on empowering women-led companies. Headquartered in New York City with chapters across the country, it provides early-stage capital, intensive mentorship, and an expansive network to female founders. 
  • Seed & Series A: This is the firm’s primary investment window.
  • Post-Revenue Preference: They prioritize companies with a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and early evidence of market traction (e.g., initial revenue or signed customer contracts).
  • Method: Founders apply through the Golden Seeds Gust portal.
  • Affiliation Requirement: The company must have at least one woman in a C-level position with a substantial equity stake.
  • Materials: A professional pitch deck, executive summary, and 3-year financial projections are required.
  • Application Fee: There is a nominal fee (approx. $50) to cover the administrative costs of the initial review. 

Eligibility

  • Sectors: Core activity in B2B SaaS, HealthTech (Medical Devices & Diagnostics), and Consumer Products/Services.
  • Geography: Primarily focused on companies based in the United States.
  • Business Model: Must be a high-growth, scalable for-profit entity capable of achieving a significant exit within 5–7 years. 

Process

  1. Initial Screening: Staff and sector experts review applications for eligibility and growth potential.
  2. Screening Committee: Selected startups participate in a virtual preliminary pitch to a smaller committee for a deep-dive evaluation.
  3. Monthly Forum: The top-ranked finalists present to the full network of 250+ accredited investors at monthly forum meetings (held in New York, Boston, Silicon Valley, Dallas, etc.).
  4. Due Diligence: Interested members form a collaborative team to conduct a 4–8 week rigorous review of the company's financials, IP, and legal status.
  5. Closing: Members make individual investment decisions, which are aggregated into a single LLC on the startup's cap table.

  2. Intensive Mentorship: Direct coaching from a dedicated "deal lead" and a network of seasoned female executives and entrepreneurs.
  3. Board Participation: Golden Seeds often takes a board seat or observer role to provide ongoing strategic governance.
  4. Strategic Network: Access to follow-on capital through their partnership with Golden Seeds Venture Fund and connections to major institutional VCs.
