Description

FoundersBoost Fund is a venture capital firm that invests exclusively in alumni of the FoundersBoost pre-accelerator, a global program designed to prepare pre-seed startups for top-tier accelerators, investment, and revenue. 
  • Pre-Seed & Seed: The fund focuses on early-stage technology startups that have completed the FoundersBoost pre-accelerator program.
  • "AIR" Opportunities: The fund and its associated program focus on Acceleration, Investment, and Revenue to move companies into "pre-investment shape". 
  • Pipeline Model: Direct investment from the fund is only available to startups that have first been accepted into and completed a FoundersBoost cohort.

Eligibility

  • Startups: Must be early-stage tech ventures with a prototype, active users, or early revenue.
  • Founders: Underrepresented entrepreneurs are highly encouraged; 80% of the portfolio currently features underrepresented founders.
  • Geography: Global reach with chapters in North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
  • Sector: Industry-agnostic, with strong representation in SaaS, AI/ML, HealthTech, FinTech, and Cleantech. 

Process

  • The Pre-Accelerator (Prerequisite):
    1. Selection: Promising startups are hand-selected for a 6-week virtual or on-site program.
    2. Engagement: Each cohort meets weekly for three hours (typically 6:00 PM–9:00 PM) for mentorship and speaker sessions.
    3. Opt-In Investment: Post-program, alumni can opt-in to be considered for investment from the FoundersBoost Fund.
  • No Guarantee: Completion of the program does not guarantee investment from the fund.
