Village Capital, a global venture firm known for its "democratized" peer-selection investment model, or Village Global, an early-stage venture capital firm backed by world-leading tech luminaries. 
  • Early Stage & Seed: Village Capital focuses on early-stage, impact-driven startups. Village Global targets pre-seed and seed rounds, often serving as the first institutional capital.
  • Venture-Scale: Village Global leads or co-leads rounds and opportunistically follows on in later stages. 
  • Thematic Programs: Village Capital runs specialized, time-bound programs, such as the 2026 US Women in Tech Accelerator and Sage Impact Entrepreneurship.
  • Method: Founders apply through the respective program pages on the Village Capital or Village Global websites.
  • Abaca Platform: All Village Capital applicants gain access to Abaca, a free web app to assess investment readiness and identify capital providers.

  • US Women in Tech 2026: Specifically prioritizes early-stage, women-led startups from marginalized communities in the US.
  • Sage Impact 2026: Targets entrepreneurs in the US, UK, and Europe building planet-positive solutions. 

Process

  1. Selection: Applications undergo a rigorous review to join a specific cohort.
  2. Accelerator Training: Selected teams participate in virtual workshops, mentorship, and investment-readiness training.
  3. Peer-Selection Model: Village Capital’s unique core innovation—participating entrepreneurs rank each other at the end of the program to decide who receives pre-committed capital.
  4. Village Global Velocity: A bespoke, rolling-basis program for pre-seed founders to move "from 0 to 1" through a 2–3 week investment decision process.

What an Applicant can Obtain

  • Capital: Access to grant funding (e.g., $25,000 to $50,000 for top peer-ranked startups in certain programs) or equity checks up to $1 million from Village Global.
  • Network: Access to global luminaries (e.g., Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates for Village Global) and a peer cohort for lifelong support.
  • Training: 1:1 coaching from investment analysts on financial modeling and unit economics.
