Code Ventures (often referred to as Codeventures) is a technical venture studio and investment firm headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois, with operations also based in Kolkata, India. It specializes in acting as a technical co-founder for non-technical entrepreneurs, helping transform ideas into scalable software products. 
  • Idea Phase & Pre-Seed: Code Ventures focuses on the earliest possible stage, often described as "Day Zero".
  • Target: Its primary goal is to help founders build a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to secure institutional seed funding. 
  • Discovery Workshop: This is the mandatory first engagement phase where experts collaborate with founders to refine an idea into a technical blueprint, covering architecture, user flow, and a go-to-market strategy.
  • Highly Selective: Code Ventures reportedly only accepts three startups per year for its full partnership program.

  • Founder Profile: Ideal for non-technical founders who want to validate a technology or process without immediately quitting their current roles.
  • Sectors: Industry-agnostic, with a focus on AI, Healthcare, Fintech, Edtech, E-commerce, and Logistics.

Process

The studio engagement follows a structured technical and business development cycle: 

  1. Discovery & Blueprinting: Refining the concept into a documented project plan.
  2. MVP Development: Creating a functional, market-ready web or mobile application, typically delivered in 8–12 weeks.
  3. Launch & User Acquisition: Providing technical maintenance and marketing support to reach initial customers.
  4. Handoff or Interim CTO: Once the startup secures outside funding or revenue, the studio helps transition to a permanent local team.
