Description

In 2026, the Boomtown Health Tech Accelerator continues to operate as a specialized division of the Boomtown Accelerator ecosystem, partnered with major healthcare institutions like Colorado Permanente Medical Group and Intermountain Health. It is designed to bridge the gap between early-stage innovation and large-scale clinical integration.
  • Seed to Series A: The program targets startups that have developed a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and are ready for clinical validation or early commercial scaling.
  • Pre-revenue: It is one of the few programs that will accept pre-revenue companies if the technical or clinical innovation is significant.
  • Method: Founders apply through the Boomtown Accelerator Portal.
  • Requirements: A pitch deck focusing on the clinical problem, the technical solution, and a clear "regulatory roadmap" (FDA status, etc.).
  • Key Focus: They prioritize solutions that address provider burnout, patient engagement, and health equity.

Eligibility

  • Sectors: Digital Health, MedTech, Diagnostics, and AI-driven clinical tools.
  • Geography: Global (though participation requires presence in Boulder, Colorado for specific phases).
  • Infrastructure: Startups must have the capacity to handle HIPAA-compliant data integration.

Process

The program is a 12-week intensive hybrid cohort:

  1. Selection: A rigorous vetting process involving clinical reviews by physicians and health administrators.
  2. Mentorship: Startups are paired with clinical mentors to refine their product for actual hospital workflows.
  3. The "Boomtown Method": Intensive workshops on sales, marketing, and the "human side" of leadership.
  4. Demo Day: A high-profile pitch event attended by healthcare VCs and health system executives.
