AngelPad

AngelPad is a seed-stage accelerator program based in NYC and San Francisco. Since 2010 we have launched more than 150 companies. Every 6 months we select about 15 teams from a huge pool of applicants (usually around 2000) to work with us.

San Francisco, CA, USA

Description

AngelPad is a highly selective, mentorship-driven startup accelerator based in San Francisco and New York City. Consistently ranked as the top U.S. accelerator, it focuses on helping a small number of startups each cohort achieve product-market fit and prepare for significant institutional fundraising.
  • Founding Team Focus: Founders must submit detailed information about their business and, most importantly, their founding team.
  • Selectivity: The program is extremely competitive, with an acceptance rate typically less than 1% from a pool of approximately 2,000 applicants per cohort.
  • Bi-annual Cohorts: Programs run twice a year.
  • Status for 2026: Specific 2026 cohort dates are typically announced as the previous cohort concludes; interested founders should sign up for updates to be notified when the next window opens

Eligibility

  • Industry Agnostic: Open to all technology startups, though it has deep expertise in B2B, SaaS, and enterprise software.
  • Technical co-founders: Strong preference for teams with deep technical expertise.
  • Geography: Open to anyone from anywhere, provided they can be present in SF or NYC during the program.

Process

  1. Personal Review: Founders Thomas Korte and Carine Magescas personally review every application.
  2. Interviews: Selected teams are invited for in-person interviews.
  3. 10-Week Intensive Program: Chosen companies (usually 12–15 per cohort) spend 10 weeks in residence in SF or NYC working directly with the founders.
  4. Demo Day: The program culminates in a Demo Day where startups pitch to a curated audience of top-tier venture capitalists.

What an Applicant can Obtain

  • Funding: Direct capital to fuel early growth.
  • Perks: Over $300,000 in cloud credits from providers like AWS and Google.
  • Mentorship: Hands-on product and market strategy guidance from former Google executives and serial entrepreneurs.
