The Open AI Community dedicated to building and advancing open source AI agents, data, models, evaluation, safety, applications and advocacy to ensure everyone can benefit.
The AI Alliance is an international non-profit 501(c)(3) organization led by IBM and Meta. It functions as a collaborative community for open innovation rather than a traditional startup accelerator or venture fund. Organizations do not apply for "batches" or "funding cycles." They apply for membership to join the community and working groups.
Eligibility
Membership is open to diverse entities committed to open AI innovation, including startups, universities, and non-profits across more than 29 countries.
Process
New members are added periodically. Interested organizations can typically inquire about joining through their official website.
What an Applicant can Obtain
Open Tools & Benchmarks: Access to catalogs of vetted safety, security, and trust tools.
Collaborative Innovation: Opportunity to participate in member-driven working groups (e.g., AI Safety, Policy Advocacy).
Strategic Resources: Access to shared models, datasets, and a hardware accelerator ecosystem.
Public Discourse: Engagement in educational initiatives and events to explore AI use cases and responsible development.
