Description

ActivateNM (Activate New Mexico) is a multi-tiered startup community and program of CNM Ingenuity, the economic development arm of Central New Mexico Community College.

Cycles: Applications open a few times per year.
Framework: The program utilizes the LeanStack "Running Lean" methodology. Applicants are often asked to complete a Lean Canvas as part of the personalized guidance process.

Eligibility

Geography: Must be headquartered in or seeking to add jobs in New Mexico.
Sector: Primarily software or tech-enabled businesses.
Size: Small businesses (typically 0–50 employees) at any stage, from developing an idea to seeking a growth plan.

Process

Submission: Founders fill out an intake form via the website.
Onboarding: New members gain access to a digital community hub (Slack) and a free self-guided curriculum.
Mentorship & Sprints: Participants engage in specialized "Sprints" and training sessions focused on customer discovery and investor pitching.
Specialized Accelerators: Founders may apply for niche programs like ActivatOR, a free 12-week bootcamp for outdoor recreation businesses.
