Description

ScaleUp Labs is an internationally focused venture lab and accelerator that specializes in applied AI startups, particularly those bridging the gap from Latin America or Europe to the United States. 
  • Requirement: Applicants are required to have (or set up) a U.S. company to access U.S. funding and investor relationships.
  • Submission: Applications are submitted through the F6S system.
  • Required Materials: Founders must complete a detailed form; while a full business plan is not always requested upfront, key business metrics and financial data are mandatory. 

Eligibility

  • Sector Focus: Primarily HealthTech, Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial IoT, Military Tech, and Energy & Sustainability.
  • Team: Ambition and a full-time commitment from the leadership team are required.
  • Geography: Special emphasis on startups from Latin America (ScaleUp LatAm) and Italy (Accelerate Italy).

Process

  1. Application Review: The team reviews submissions based on selection criteria to determine fit.
  2. Interview: Selected candidates are invited to a video interview with the Selection Committee.
  3. 16-Week Program: An intensive 4-month internationalization program conducted online, featuring weekly meet-ups and weekend workshops every third week.
  4. Soft-Landing: Following the accelerator, startups may be invited to a soft-landing program in Boston with dedicated office space.
