Description

Accel Atoms is a sector-focused pre-seed and seed platform by global venture capital firm Accel, designed to support exceptional Indian and Indian-origin founders globally in their "0→1 journey. Applications are submitted through the Accel Atoms portal. It typically supports companies that have raised under $2 million in total funding. 

  • Track Selection: Applicants can choose between specialized tracks, such as the AI Cohort 2026 (in partnership with Google) or Atoms X (for "LeapTech" or mission-centric breakthroughs).
  • Requirements: Founders provide details on their team, market opportunity, and technological innovation. It is open to solo founders and companies that are not yet incorporated. 

Eligibility

  • ounders based in India or of Indian-origin anywhere in the world are eligible.
  • Core Tracks (2025-2026):
    • AI: Startups building across the AI stack. The 2026 cohort requires at least one Gemini integration.
    • Atoms X: A sector-agnostic track for "LeapTech" ideas.

Process

  1. Online Submission: Founders apply via the official website.
  2. Screening: Accel's investment team reviews applications on a rolling basis for most tracks, while specific cohorts have set windows.
  3. Personalized Cohort: Selected startups join a 3-month hybrid program (e.g., February to May 2026 for the AI cohort).
  4. Mentorship: Includes 1:1 sessions with Accel partners, industry experts, and peer founders

What an Applicant can Obtain

  • Capital: Co-investment of up to $2 million for the AI 2026 cohort, or up to $1 million for Atoms X.
  • Perks: Access to over $5 million in perks, including cloud credits (up to $350k from Google Cloud for AI startups) and technical support.
  • Network: Direct access to Accel’s global community of 350+ founders and 100+ investors.
