Applicants must complete a detailed Online Application that includes information on their team, market, product viability, and traction. The program seeks founders who see significant value in operating within the Buffalo ecosystem.
Eligibility
Team: Must have at least three full-time members. Solo founders are accepted but held to a higher bar.
Traction: Must demonstrate established traction with paying customers and have previously raised outside venture capital.
Relocation Requirement: Winners must relocate their CEO and at least 50% of their staff to Buffalo for at least 12 months.
Geography: Open to startups worldwide.
Process
ine Submission: Hundreds of applicants submit written materials.
Judging Rounds: A panel of venture capitalists and industry experts narrow the pool through virtual pitches and due diligence.
Semi-Finals: Approximately 15–16 companies are selected to pitch virtually or live.
Finals Week: Eight finalists compete live on stage in Buffalo in a "Shark Tank-style" event.
Cohort Selection: Five winners are chosen to receive investment and join the year-long accelerator program starting the following January.

Capital: A large cash investment and a spot in the Buffalo accelerator.
Support: Free workspace at the Seneca One Tower, expert mentorship, and access to a network of nearly 1,000 investors.
Tax Incentives: Eligibility for 10 years of freedom from state taxes through the STARTUP-NY program.
